ELECTRO-LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE THERAPY
WHAT IS ELT?
ELT is a gentle and non-invasive technique that stimulates the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system using a modern FDA-registered lymphatic drainage machine.
HOW DOES ELT WORK?
ELT MACHINES ARE OPERATED BY IONISING THE INERT GASES WITHIN THE PROBES
Argon, Krypton, Xenon
IONISATION PRODUCES ENERGY AND IONS
Break down protein and waste clumps (detox effect), helping with the smooth flow of lymph fluids
PROBES WILL MOVE ALONG THE BODY'S NATURAL LYMPHATIC FLOW
Reduce lymph fluids stagnation in the area. Often within minutes of performing ELT, clients feel a reduction in swelling and heat of the affected area.
BENEFITS OF ELECTRO-LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE THERAPY
Gentle and Non-invasive - Gentle stroke using probes to promote lymph drainage both on the surface of your skin and deep within
8-10x more effective than Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Clinical observations over the last 15 years from ~1000 practitioners, summarised by manufacturer of XP-II device
FDA-registered medical device to reduce inflammation and improve circulation
BENEFITS OF GOOD LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
The enhanced stimulation of ELT has been reported by thousands of users worldwide, facilitated by professionals who are specially trained in lymphatic drainage.
By aiding and maintaining lymphatic drainage throughout the body, ELT helps support the body to fight inflammation. Inflammation is a response by the body to external trauma and infection.
Lymphatic system and Immune system work hand in hand to keep the body safe from pathogens, having good lymphatic flow allows our lymph to be constantly filtered. Undergoing lymphatic drainage massage helps to move lymph fluids along to other lymph nodes to prevent stagnation. Up to 70% of our Immune system resides in the deeper levels of the lymphatic system. ELT not only work on what other therapies have achieved with good lymphatic drainage, but it is also capable of assisting our immunity as we try to ensure our lymphocytes and macrophages at the deep levels are filtering our lymph fluid effectively.
During exercise, muscles use oxygen to generate energy in a process known as aerobic respiration. However, when undergoing intense exercise, there may not be sufficient oxygen and glucose available to produce energy. As a result, the muscles undergo anaerobic respiration, producing lactate to give that extra boost of energy.
ELT can help alleviate the burn felt in muscles due to lactate by strengthening circulation to raise lactate threshold as well as improve the recovery of muscle fatigue.
DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness), on the other hand, is due to micro tears in muscle during high-intensity exercise. These micro-tears contribute to swelling and inflammation of the muscle.
In the case of DOMS, ELT can help by improving lymphatic drainage, thereby reducing accumulation of interstitial fluids which reduces swelling and reduce inflammation accumulated in the muscles to alleviate the symptoms of DOMS faster.
As cancer patients suffer from swelling and poor circulation, ELT helps to reduce water retention and inflammation, often resulting in better mobility and less discomforts.
